Duncliffe Wood is one of the largest woods in North Dorset. An ancient woodland site mentioned in the Domesday Book, most of it was felled and replanted with conifers in the 1950s. Since purchasing the 86 hectare (213 acre) wood in 1984, the Woodland Trust have been working to restore it to its native woodland glory.
